A Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Woman was arrested Monday afternoon in conjunction with a Crestview, Fla., shooting.
According to Andalusia Police Chief Paul Hudson, Andalusia Police officers responded to the emergency room for a gunshot victim at around 3:30 a.m., Monday.
When officers arrived they found a black male suffering from multiple gunshots. He had been taken to the emergency room for treatment.
Police have arrested 30-year-old Patrice Cherelle Powell for obstruction of government operations and giving false information to an officer.
A press release from the APD did not give any further details on what Powell allegedly did to warrant the charges.
However, police say that Powell was with the victim at the time of the police call, and during the investigation it was determined that the shooting happened in Crestview rather than Andalusia.
The victim was driven to the Andalusia after the shooting.
Bond was set at $500 per charge.
