The Andalusia Office Professionals Association name Kim Nawlin the Andalusia Office Professional of the Year.

Nawlin, who works as a buyer at PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, was nominated by her boss, Bob Little.

In his nomination, Little wrote, “Kim’s job requires her to negotiate pricing and availability for goods and services for the cooperative and our power plants. She does this in a professional manner, paying close attention to detail and with the highest ethical standards.

“Kim’s work reflects many years of experience in the procurement field which requires her to work closely with vendors, power plants and cooperative personnel,” Little wrote.

Nawlin is involved with Relay for Life, and helps plan luncheons and retirement receptions for department employees.

“Kim has a humble and serving heart,” Little said. “She has been very involved with church youth groups and paid for church trips for kids who otherwise would not have been able to attend. She has organized trips to homeless shelters in order that children could be taught about giving to others.”
