Andalusia Police Chief Paul Hudson reports an arrest has been made in connection with the April 22, 2016, burglary of Bailey’s Pharmacy and the attempted break-in of the ATM at Covington County Bank.

0506-McNeil,Ladarrius-DarshunLaDarrius McNeil, 27, of Andalusia has been arrested and charged with burglary third degree, theft of property second degree and criminal mischief second. Bond is set for $23,000 dollars for all three charges.

In the early morning hours of April 22, a black male attempted to break into the ATM machine at CCB, doing significant damage to the machine, and later broke into Bailey’s Pharmacy. Using surveillance video and information from citizens, investigator Chris Byrd identified McNeil as a possible suspect in both incidents. Enough evidence was gathered to bring charges against McNeil.

McNeil was previously arrested in 2011 for burglary and theft.
