The Coterie Club is hosting a movie under the stars and the group hopes you will bring your family to the event.
Heather Owen, who is a member of the organization, said the event is set for Sat., May 14.
An inflatable screen will be erected on the lawn of Springdale Estate.
“We have local people doing shout outs and business ads that will play before the movie,” she said.
Admission is $4 and concessions will be sold.
“We’ll also have pizza, nachos, popcorn, candy, pickles and drinks,” Owen said.
A family of five could probably enjoy the evening out, including admission and supper, for $40 or less.
This year, the movie will be “Kung Fu Panda 3.”
The movie is an action-adventure film rated PG and is geared toward children and families.
“We are really excited because ‘Kung Fu Panda’ is out of the theater but not yet on DVD,” Owen said. “This is a great opportunity for you to see it with your family. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.”
Gates will open at 6:30 p.m., and the movie will begin at sundown, which Owen said should be around 7:35 p.m.
The movie is one hour and 35 minutes long.
Money raised from the event goes to help with different projects and community events.
Last year the organization donated more than $15,000.
