The Red Level Lady Tigers made a strong showing in their first trip to the Class 1A South Regional softball tournament in Gulf Shores, but were eliminated by J.U. Blacksher on Friday morning.

Ashlyn Joyner got things started on the right note with a leadoff single in the top of the first inning, but that was as far as she could get in the inning.

The Lady Pirates plated three runs in the opening frame to go up 3-0.

In the bottom of the second, the Lady Pirates added four more runs for 7-0 lead after two innings of play.

The Lady Pirates added five more runs in the bottom of third to take a 12-0 lead.

Two quick outs from the Lady Tigers started the top of the fourth and then Hannah Colvin blistered a triple to center.

A strikeout to the next batter ended Red Level’s chance to break on to the scoreboard.

J.U. Blacksher got another run in the in the bottom of the fourth and held on for a 13-0 win.
