James Lester Branch

Mr. James Lester Branch, Jr., 80, formerly of Andalusia, passed away Tues., May 17, 2016, in South Health and Rehab, Birmingham.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Fri., May 20, 2016, at Foreman Funeral Home with Hal Lane officiating. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Branch of Irondale; daughter, Tanja Cooper of Irondale; granddaughters, Veco Rouse of Honoraville, Ala., and Gigi Cooper of Irondale; great-grandson, Leon Ross; sister, Wanda Branch; and nephews, Barry Lunsford and Ashley Lunsford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lester and Nellie Branch, Sr.; son, James Lester Branch III; and son-in-law, Edward Cooper.

Ruth Helen Hurst

Mrs. Ruth Helen Hurst, 88, of Fultondale, Ala., passed away Mon., May 16, in the Andalusia Manor.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., May 21, at Oakwood Cemetery in Gardendale, Ala. Visitation will be held at Ridouts Gardendale Chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Mark Gable of Andalusia; her son, Wayne Hurst of Cullman; three grandchildren, Christian Gable, Drew (Jessica) Gable, Melissa Chapman; three great-grandchildren, Shepherd Gable, Haley Chapman, Garrett Skovira; a brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Pat Atchley of Birmingham; and one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Eddie Mizerany of Birmingham.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Hurst, Lynn Hurst, Perry Hurst, Enrique Vaca, Mark Mizerany, and Brandon Mizerany
