2 charged for meth

Two Covington County residents charged with in conjunction with a meth lab last week remain in jail on $350,000 bonds, the DTF said in a statement this morning.

On Thurs., May 19, 2016, Agents from the 22nd Judicial Drug Task Force responded to a residence in reference to reports of drug activity and methamphetamine production.

At the residence, DTF agents contacted Lisa Hickman and were granted permission to search the residence. Inside, agents found methamphetamine, methamphetamine residue on containers, as well as lithium batteries, Drano bottles, and other chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine.

Hickman was charged with manufacturing in the 1st degree, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 1st degree, all of which are felonies.

In connection to the methamphetamine lab, Opp Police later arrested Jose Trevino at his place of employment and charged him with manufacturing in the 1st degree, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 1st degree, all of which are felonies.

Both are being held at the Covington County Jail on a $350,000 bond each.
