Do you have children who love singing?

If so, First Baptist Church may have just the thing for your little one.

FBC Music Minister Dwight Crigger said this summer will mark the ninth year for the church’s summer music camp, which begins Mon., June 13 , and runs through Fri., June 17, from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., daily.

Crigger said he’s done music camps for years.

“We moved to Andalusia from Atlanta and had done it for probably 10 years there,” he said. “We brought it with us. It’s been successful; it’s grown.”

Crigger said this year’s theme is “Unplugged.”

“It’s about shutting down all of our devices and spending time with family and the Lord,” he said. “There will be arts and crafts and of course, worshipping.”

Crigger said Friday will be a little longer because of a special performance.

“It’s open to anyone who wants to come,” he said. “You don’t have to be a member of First Baptist to participate.”

Camp registration is now open and the cost is $50, which goes toward purchasing T-shirts, supplies and music for the campers.

The camp is open to all children first through sixth grader.
