Foster Ray Gantt

Mr. Foster Ray Gantt, 72, of River Falls, passed away Mon., May 30, 2016, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thurs., June 2, 2016, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Richburg officiating with interment in River Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Lamar Gantt of River Falls, Jack and Barbara Gantt of Evergreen; two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Buster Jackson, Renee Hudson of River Falls; a brother-in-law, Matthew Hendrix of Red Level; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie G. and Elma S. Gantt and a sister, Hazel Hendrix.

Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Jackson, James Jackson, Don Jackson, Eddie Gantt, Willie J. Hendrix, and Shane Lee.

H.C. “Clyde” Sasser

Mr. H.C. “Clyde” Sasser, 85, of Andalusia, AL passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at SEAMC in Dothan.

Clyde was a member and deacon at Harmony Baptist Church in Andalusia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served in the Korean War. He joined the U.S. Civil Service in 1956 and retired from the U.S. Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville after 30 years of service.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 63 years, Opal Goolsby Sasser; daughter and son-in-law, Donna Sasser Baughman and Douglas, all of Andalusia; granddaughter, Shelly Kelly (Davis); grandson, Brian Baughman; great-grandchildren, Douglas, Jillian and Madeline Kelly, all of Starkville, Miss.; sister, Merle Kilcrease; brother, James Sasser (Faye); brother-in-law, Johnie Goolsby (Glenda); and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thurs., June 2, 2016, from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Greg Cotter will be officiating with Wyatt Funeral Home directing.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Harmony Baptist Church.

 

LARRY W. EDDINGS

Mr. Larry W. Eddings, age 61, of Elba passed away May 29, 2016 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Wed., June 1, 2016, in the Keahey Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Dwight Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 5:30 p.m. until time of service.

Survivors include his sons, Chad Eddings and Bryan Eddings; daughter, Courtney Taylor; and brother, Steve (Yvonne ) Roanell Dukes of Pensacola; and his nieces and nephews, Jeffery Dukes, Jennifer Dukes, Johnny Dukes and Justin Dukes.
