Florala recently got a new eatery when G.K. Patel opened up Pizza Express in downtown.

“Well, there wasn’t anywhere within about 20 miles to get a pizza,” Patel said. “You can go get one at a store, but they will make you a frozen one that you could make at home. We wanted to give the people of Florala a place to get a real pizza.”

Patel said that they haven’t begun to sell the full menu yet, but that should start some time this week.

Pizza Express will serve wraps, sandwiches and of course a variety of different pizzas for its patrons to dine on.

They are open seven days a week with business hours between 10:30 a.m.- 8 p.m., during the week and 10:30 a.m.- 9 p.m., on the weekend.

Patel said that they will have a grand opening for Pizza Express within the next few weeks once they get good and settled in.
