County BOE approves personnel changes

The Covington County Board of Education on Tuesday approved the following personnel changes:
• the resignation of Charlotte D. Ingram as secretary at the central office, effective June 30, 2016;
• employed Chris Thomasson as administrator at the central office, effective date to be determined. He is currently the Red Level Elementary School principal;
• employed Traci Driver Bell as English language arts teacher and library media specialist at Fleeta Junior High School at the beginning of the school year;
• employed Jessica Byrd as English language arts teacher at Florala High School, effective at the beginning of the school year;
• employed Kari Michelle Biggs as mathematics teacher at Florala High School, effective at the beginning of the school year;
• employed Jeremy Dean Silcox as social science teacher at Pleasant Home School, effective at the beginning of the school year;
• Threasa L. Martin, as paraprofessional at Pleasant Home School, effective at the beginning of the school year;
• employed Emily N. Clem as elementary school teacher at Red Level Elementary School, effective at the beginning of the school year;
• employed Lori C. Griffin as elementary school teacher, effective at the beginning of the school year;
• employed Irish Lynn Freeney as instructional aide at Straughn Elementary School, effective at the beginning of the school year;
• transferred Andrea N. Weeks from Florala High School to Straughn Middle Scholl as math teacher at the beginning of the school year;
• employed Judith T. Bozeman as special education teacher at Straughn Middle School, effective at the beginning of the school year.
• employed Jonathan R. Sumner as social science teacher with possible coaching duties at Straughn High School, effective at the beginning of the school year;
• transferred Deborah Biggs from bookkeeper at Straughn High School to clerk at the central office, effective July 1, 2016.
