Additional charges have been added to the man who allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and forced her into a wooded area in Red Level last week.
Covington County Sheriff Dennis Meeks this week said James Harold Morris, 25, was also charged with attempt assault second degree and menacing.
Last Friday, deputies were dispatched to Red Level Villas around 9:40 a.m.
“It was domestic situation in which a man took his ex-girlfriend or estranged girlfriend into the woods against her will,” said Lt. Howard West, supervisor over patrol. “We called in the K9s from River Falls Police Department and the Covington County Sheriff’s Posse.”
Morris was finally detailed on Thomas Road around 1 p.m.
DTF Agent Greg Jackson received injuries to his ribs while helping detain Morris.
Meeks said he was being held on a $169,000 bond.
