8U County All-Stars clinch state championship

The Covington County 8U All-Stars used every thing they had to defeat Brewton in the Alabama Babe Ruth 8U softball championship on Sunday at the Dwight Mikel Sports Complex.
Covington County swept it’s way through the tournament en route to claiming the state title.
Timely hits and plays from all the young Covington County All-Stars was the key to clinching the championship.
Madelyn Worley, Nevaeh Marshall, Amaya Williams, Taya Newton, Bailey Green, Maddie Williamson, Emily Nelson, Kyleigh Jackson, Destiny Adkison, Kylee Brown, Allyx Williamson and Braleigh Nall each played pivotal roles for the 8U Covington County All-Stars throughout the entire tournament.
With the win, Covington County finished 4-0 in the state tournament.
