Teams from all across Alabama will compete in the 2016 Cal Ripken 9U state tournament beginning on with pool play today at Johnson Park.

The eight teams will be split into two pools of four teams.

Covington County will be in the National Pool with Theodore, Alex City and Semmes.

The American Pool will consist of Westside, Attala, Jackson and Florence.

The National Pool will play on the Walt Russo field and American Pool will be on Field 3.
