The driver of an 18-wheeler who died in a head-on collision with another 18-wheeler Friday morning on Gadsden’s Interstate 759 has been identified as an Andalusia man.

Stanley Kenneth Davis, 67, of Andalusia, was killed in the wreck that happened at 5:02 a.m. Friday in the eastbound lane of I-759 between Rainbow Drive and Black Creek Parkway, according to accident reports.

Two trucks collided head-on about a mile east of Black Creek Parkway. Apparently one truck strayed over into the eastbound lane and struck the other truck near the right shoulder of the road.

Terry Clarence Rigdon, 41, of White, Ga., was injured in the other truck and taken to a hospital, al.com reported.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016, in the Goodman Baptist Church Cemetery, according to Wyatt Funeral Home’s obituary.

Davis is survived by his life partner, Dianne Patterson; sons, Phillip Davis and Kenneth Osborn; daughters, Tinna Hataway and Tanya Michelle Davis; brother, Roger Dale Davis; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
