4 things you should know for the Fourth of July

1) Cypress Landing RV Park will have a free concert by Drunken Chicken beginning at 6 tonight, Sat., July 2, with fireworks planned for 10 p.m.

2) The Daughters of the American Revolution will hold their second annual Fourth of July Parade at 10 a.m. on Mon., July 4, in downtown Andalusia. Participants will parade from the First baptist Church down Three Notch Street to the Veterans Memorial.

Following the parade, there will be patriotic photo opportunities in the lot between City Hall and Springdale.

3) The City of Opp will host its annual 4th of July Celebration at Frank Jackson State Park, Mon., July 4. Admission is free starting at 10 a.m. Food vendors, watermelon, entertainment, and fireworks at dusk.

3) The City of Andalusia will open its annual Fourth of July event on the midway at the Kiwanis Center at 6 p.m., on Monday. Free watermelon will be served, and a fireworks show is set for dark.
