The Opp 17U Dixie Majors held off Greenville in the opening round of the District 6 tournament over the weekend in Opp for a 9-8 victory.

Cutter Gafford and Nicholas Johnson each scored two runs despite not picking up a single hit in the contest.

Gafford walked twice and was also hit by a pitch.

Johnson walked three times and was also hit by a pitch.

Brett James picked up the win on the mound for Opp, as he went four innings allowing just one hit and one unearned run.

James also struck out give batters in the process to give Opp the 9-8 victory.
