Farris and Barbara Norris recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary along with friends and family.

The couple were married on June 23, 1956 in Andalusia.

His parents were Destin and Clara Norris of Andalusia, and her parents were Robert and Nettie Dillard of Birmingham.

Farris retired from the Andalusia Fire Department, where he was chief.

Barbara retired after 42 years with Alatex where she was a head supervisor.

They have three children Larry (Sandra) Norris, Kim (Neil) Arrington, Toni (Joey) Thornton. There are seven grandchildren: Chase (Donna)Arrington, MaryBeth(Brent)Shiver, Melita Hudson, Katie (Lex) Wheeler, Andrea (Jimmy) Cox, Aaron Norris, Gabe Norris.

A reception in their honor was held on Sat., June 25, at Mill Creek Baptist Church.
