“This is accomplished with great administrators and dedicated classroom teachers,” he said. “Our staff is the key to every student’s successful future.”

He said he is proud to be a part of a school system where the graduation rate is 97 percent, placing AHS in the top ten school systems in the state of Alabama. In addition, 79 percent of graduates pursue a college education.

King recently was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate of Andalusia High School. He has practiced general dentistry in Andalusia since 1976.

He and his wife, Cathy, have five children, all graduates of AHS, and currently have three grandchildren enrolled at AES. He is an active member of the Andalusia Kiwanis Club and the First Baptist Church of Andalusia.
