Jessie Ray (Bo)

Henderson

Jessie Ray (Bo) Henderson, age 35, of Gardners Chapel Road, Andalusia, died Mon., July 18, 2016 at his residence.

A funeral service for Bo will be conducted 10 a.m. Thurs., July 21, 2016, at Wyatt Funeral Home in Opp. Interment will follow at Mt. Gilead Cemetery near Dozier. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wed., July 20, at Wyatt Funeral Home.

Bo Henderson is survived by his son, Jessie Ray Henderson Jr.; father, Junior Henderson; brothers, Phillip Henderson and Stevie Henderson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Henderson; brother, Keith Henderson; paternal grandparents, Gordon and Pearl Henderson; maternal grandparents, om and Myrtlere Jones.

Irene Helmick

Mrs. Irene Helmick, age 84, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., July 17, 2016, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 5 p.m., Sat., July 23, 2016, at West Highland Assembly of God with the Rev. Eddie Gossett officiating and Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.

 

Allene Capps

Ezzell

Allene Capps Ezzell, a resident of Andalusia, died early Tuesday morning, July 19, 2016, at her home. She was 91.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thurs., July 21, 2016, in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Herb Carlisle officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary and Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ezzell was a cancer survivor for more than forty years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111 or to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309 or to the First Baptist Church of Andalusia “Building Fund,” 700 E. Three Notch Street, Andalusia, AL 36420.

Mrs. Ezzell was born in Rawls, Ala., in Crenshaw County, and was reared in Dozier and Andalusia. She was a graduate of Dozier High School and later earned her license as a Registered Nurse from the Frasier-Ellis Hospital in Dothan shortly after World War II. Mrs. Ezzell married Marlin Wood Ezzell of Abbeville in 1948 and returned to Andalusia after his death in 1950. She was formerly employed as a registered nurse at Alabama Textiles and later at Andalusia Hospital, until her retirement. Mrs. Ezzell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Andalusia. She was preceded by her husband, Marlin Wood Ezzell, and her parents, Dewey and Bertha Duggan Capps.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Claudia Ezzell Mozingo and her husband, Jack; two grandchildren, Taylor Lindsey Mozingo and Griffin Wood Mozingo, all of Mill Creek, WA.

Holman-Headland Mortuary and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.

 

James Richard

Windham

Mr. James Richard Windham, 82, of Andalusia, passed away Sat., July 16, 2016, at his residence.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Mon., July 18, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Larry Stewart and Brother Keith Parker officiating. Interment followed in Smith Cemetery. Visitation was at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Ward Windham of Andalusia; a daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Derrell White of Andalusia; his grandchildren, Jesse James and Katlyn Williamson and Breanna and Steven Lippe; a great-grandchild, London Grace Williamson; one sister, Jean Mulkey of the Rome community; a niece, Jacquie Barbaree and great nephew, John Barbaree.

Pallbearers were Jesse Williamson, Steven Lippe, Chris Rogers, John Barbaree, Michael Ward, and Randy Ward.
