Barbara V. Green

Mrs. Barbara V. Green, 64, of Red Level passed away on July 28, 2016, at her residence.

God took one of His angels back in His arms. Everyone who met her immediately knew that she was and is a very special lady. We are sure that you will agree when you hear about her fight against cancer. She was given four to eight months to live after she was diagnosed. She fought with a smile on her face and God in her heart for nearly two years. She showed her love to everyone she met and touched many peoples’ lives. She fought bravely and encouraged everyone. I would laugh at her getting ready to go to chemo, she would be happy about going because she looked forward to seeing someone she knew. I would tease her that she was the only person happy to be going to receive treatment, but she always looked at the good and positive in everything. She told me several times that if she were able to use her cancer to help just 1 person, she would gladly go through it, and that alone makes her an angel.

She was born on July 6, 1952, in Pittsburg, Penn. She moved to several states before settling for a while in Georgia. She found her true home in Red Level, where she retired and moved closer to some of her family. Her grandchildren had her whole heart and meant the world to her.

She is waiting in heaven to be joined someday by her daughters, Lorie Fuss and Bonnie Edson; her grandchildren, Kayla Fuss, Nicholas Edson, and Emily Rose Edson; her sons-in-law, Randall Edson and Kevin Fuss; very dear friends, Tom and Kathy Stephens and Savy Reed; and many more friends too numerous to list that she looks forward to seeing as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Barbara Ruk and grandfather, Emil Kishur.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sat., July 30, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. prior to services.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to an organization very dear to her heart, please inquire with family.
