Beth Hopkins may be dealing with the medical reality of Stage 3 breast cancer, but she has her sense of humor about her.
Hopkins, who is in two phases in to her eight planned cycles of treatment, has helped organize a Rock the Ta-ta’s All Male Shirtless Car Wash for this weekend.
“Ladies, we have lined up a dozen or so really hot guys who are more than willing to go shirtless for a few hours to make a stand against breast cancer,” she posted on social media. “Some young men, some not so young, but all a bunch of true Southern gentlemen with giant hearts and lazy smiles…all of whom I’ve personally asked to show up and clean our cars!”
The car wash is just the latest in a string of fundraiser for the Battles for Beth effort. The event is set for 8 a.m. until noon this Sat., Aug. 6, at Advanced Auto Parts. Cars will be washed for $5, or any donation.
Hopkins, who is 58, lives in Red Level and works for Gitty Up N Go, and as a photographer.
