Organizers with the South Alabama Gun Club’s 3rd annual Gun and Knife Show say they aren’t sure how long events like theirs will continue, but this year they’re good to go.

“We hope we can continue this year to year,” Pete Stone said. ”We’re not sure what the world will hold for us in the future, but we encourage everybody to come out and support the club.”

The annual event, which will feature approximately 40 vendors who have reserved 180 tables on which to feature merchandise, will be held Aug. 20-21 at the Kiwanis Community Center in Andalusia.

Stone said there will be dealers with new and used guns, along with three to four custom knife makers at the show. There also are vendors who cater to women who aren’t interested in hunting.

Food and refreshment will be available.

The show is open to the public. Admission is $5 per person. The show is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sat., Aug. 15, and from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sun., Aug. 16.

Children under 12 get in free and must be accompanied by an adult.

The group also will rifle a gun.
