Caleb Blackson won the 1st Red Hot Bulldog Glow Run on Friday night.

Nearly 100 runners showed up on Friday night following “Meet the Bulldogs” to participate in the first ever Red Hot Bulldog Glow Run 5K at Andalusia High School.

The runners started in front of the new Andalusia Junior High School building, went through some neighborhoods before ending the race on the 50-yard line of the Andalusia High School football field.

There was some slight confusion somewhere along the course, and what was supposed to be a 5K run turned into a 5.3K run.

It didn’t seem to phase the youngster Caleb Blackston, who came in with a time of 24.30 to take the top spot in the first ever Red Hot Bulldog Glow Run.

Johnathan Ellison finished second, just a few paces behind Blackston.

“It turned out to be a little longer than it was supposed to be,” Ellison said. “They took us on wrong turn and turned out to about 5.3K.”

Randy Hillburn finished behind Ellison for a third place finish.
