Several concerned citizens of Luverne anonymously contributed an additional $5,000 in the case regarding the murder of DeLange Tawon Harris.

This now brings the reward to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the murderer.

Harris, a 2004 graduate of Brantley High school, was found dead on May 3, 2011, just before 4:30 p.m., when deputies responded to Athens Church Road, where his body was lying in a ditch beside the road.

The case was investigated in 2011 by the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office, with assitance from the state, and though leads were tracks and a number of interviews were conducted, no arrest was made.
