Benjamin Moody knows that most people are looking for savings and convenience in most things.

So, he opened M&L Detailing.

“I wanted to put my business out there,” he said. “There are a lot of people who don’t like going up town to get their car washed and detailed. My business is all about convenience.”

Moody said he got his business license in June.

“If you’ve worked all week, you probably don’t want to go outside and wash and detail your car,” he said. “But your vehicle has to be clean. If you don’t want to fool with it and your finances are OK and you want to have a lazy day, that’s where I come in.”

Moody said he actually goes to his customers’ homes.

“That’s where the convenience comes in,” he said. “They’ll call me and say, ‘Hey, I want you to clean my car,’ and we’ll set up a date and time and I just show up and do the work.”

He said his prices are extremely economical, as well.

It’s $20 for just washing the outside, $30 to wash outside and vacuum the inside and $45 for everything from top to bottom inside and out.

Rainy weather hasn’t helped a new business get off its feet very well.

“When the wet weather came through, I passed out all of my business cards,” he said. “I’ve been doing this for over 15 years and never had a customer complain.”
