River Falls Mayor Patricia Gunter narrowly defeated James Longmire, earning her the job for the next four years.

Gunter received 57 votes to Longmire’s 55.

“I’m thankful for the opportunity to serve the citizens of River Falls another four years,” Gunter said. “I hope we can accomplish as much in the coming term as we have thus far.”

Attempts to reach Longmire went unsuccessful.
