Two Opp residents were jailed Tuesday evening for drugs.

Opp Police stopped a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup truck at the intersection of Third Street and Virginia Avenue for failure to display a license plate.

Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Robert Theodore Mummert, 21, and Lacey Lynn Schmidt, 19, for possession of a controlled substance.

Both were taken to the Covington County Jail.
