Leadership Alabama, a statewide program of Alabama leaders engaged in creating a network for positive change, has announced that three Wiregrass residents are among the more than 60 members of its 2016-2017 class.

The Wiregrass area class members include Mike Jones, attorney and state representative, Alabama House of Representatives; Beau Benton, president, Larry Blumberg & Associates; and Dean Mitchell, executive director, Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce.

Leadership Alabama appreciates the support of area board member Seth Hammett who is serving as 2016-2016 Leadership Alabama Board Chairman and Dr. Linda Young.

“Leadership Alabama is an assembly of our state’s best and brightest men and women who share a commitment to make Alabama the best place to live and work,” Hammett said. “They will spend the next year deepening their knowledge and understanding of our people and the issues and challenges we face. I’m confident this exceptionally talented class will craft creative solutions to move Alabama forward.”

Since 1989, Leadership Alabama has given established leaders across Alabama exposure to the broader fabric of the state.
