Andalusia Public Library will present community helpers 2016 on Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m. beginning this week.

• Sept. 16 and 23 – Back to the library with Caryl Lee and puppets.

• Sept. 30 – Mailman

• Oct. 7 – Firetruck

• Oct. 14 – Police and McGruff

• Oct. 28 – Costumes and parties and puppets

• Nov. 4 – Ambulance

APL also is accepting donations of children’s books to help resupply the libraries of the elementary schools in Baton Rouge, La., that were affected by recent flooding.
