The Covington Arts Council is looking for four students who’d like to have walk-on parts in “Fame” when the Broadway musical is presented here on Wed., Sept. 28.

CAC Executive Director Paula Harr said those interested should submit a one-page essay on “Why I want to be in ‘Fame.’ ” The competition is open to students in 10th grade through college, she said.

The student should indicate his or her grade and school. There are parts for males and females.

Essays are due by Thurs., Sept. 22, and can be mailed to the Covington Arts Council at P.O. Box 1418, Andalusia, AL, or delivered to Harr at Harold’s Furniture.

Those selected to participate will receive an autographed cast book.

In addition to “Fame,” the group’s 2016-17 season includes a Journey tribute, “Barefoot in the Park,” and “A Christmas Carol.”

Season tickets for all four performances are now available at Harold’s Furniture, and are $55 each for adults, or $30 for students. Family packages, which include tickets for two adults and two students, are $125.
