Opp blows by Houston Academy

Opp dominated Houston Academy from the first possession.  The Bobcats made their first field goal in three years when Orlando Lacey connected from 25 yards out for a 3-0. Lacey then picked off a Raider pass for Opp’s second score going 36 yards to the end zone.  Tye Lindsey scored Opp’s first offense touchdown late in the first quarter on a 9 yard run.  Down 19-0 things got worse for the Raiders when a snap went over the quarterbacks head for a safety and a 21-0 lead.  Lacey connected with Hennis Washington for a 50 yard score after two long penalties for a 27-0 lead.  Tramequez Lane scored the Bobcats next touchdown on a 1 yard run.  Just before the half Lacey hit Reggie Thompson for a 37 yard touchdown pass for a 42-0 Opp lead at the half.

With the game being contested under 6 minute quarters in the second half, Opp scored on their first two possessions on the third quarter.  Hennis Washington scored the first touchdown from 46 yard and Reggie Thompson scored the final touchdown of the game on a 38 yard run. Opp won the game 55-0 to move to 4-0 on the season and 3-0 in the region.
