Caitie’s Army event is Saturday

It’s a big weekend for Caitie’s Army.
Saturday will be the non-profit organization’s annual cancer research fundraiser.
Tee Terry, president of Caitie’s Army, said Wednesday that the event will on the Court Square and at the Red Level VFW.
An antique car show will be held on the Square, she said.
Kids event will be at on the Square as well including bouncy houses and carnival type games.
“Armbands are $5 each,” she said.
Lunch will be served and will include barbecue, pizza and sausage dogs.
Bikers will meet at the Red Level VFW and will ride to the square, and around 12:30 p.m., children will have the opportunity to have their photos taken with Meredith’s Miracles characters on the motorcycle.
“The photo session will be $5,” she said.
A blood drive will be set up in front of WKNI and FOX 107.7 will also be on hand.
Terry said they are also having a fill the truck for supplies needed for the Ronald McDonald House.
At the VFW, there will be entertainment.
Terry said she urges motorist and those who attend the event on the square to use caution.
All proceeds go to the Hope and Cope program at Children’s Hospital.
