Staff Sgt. Martin and Staff Sgt. Thomas man the grill on Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of the Army Recruitment Center in Andalusia.

“We are just sitting around here talking to these young men and women,” Thomas said. “We are also registering people to vote that might not have realized how easy it was to register. It’s not just about getting people signed up for the Army. Plus give them a little food to eat.”

Sgt. First Class Easton said the relaxed environment allows for more open discussions.

“People are coming in who might have a lot of misconceptions about the Army,” Easton said. “With this type of relaxed environment, it gives them a chance for them to be more comfortable, and allow them to ask any questions they might have.”
