An Andalusia woman was airlifted Monday morning after her vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer.

Cpl. Jesse Thornton said that just after 8 a.m. Monday the two-vehicles crashed on Alabama Hwy. 55 near the 14-mile marker.

Thornton identified the victim as Shuntara Burnett, 23, of Andalusia.

“No injuries to the truck driver,” Thornton said. “I’d rather not release his name.”

The Libertyville firefighters reported they were dispatched to help Red Oak Fire Department with landing Okaloosa Med Flight just north of the Red Oak fire station.
