County college fair set for Oct. 17

LBW Community College and the Junior Service League of Andalusia will host the Covington County College Fair on Oct. 17, 8-9:30 a.m., in the Seth Hammett Gymnasium at LBWCC in Andalusia.
The event is free and open to the public, with more than 25 colleges and universities as well as military branches expected to participate.
The College Fair allows face-to-face interaction with admission representatives from a variety of postsecondary institutions. Attendees can discuss course offerings, admission and financial aid requirements, college life in general, and other information pertinent to the college selection process. Handouts, catalogs, and other helpful information from the participating colleges will also be available.
Expected to be represented are Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Alabama A&M University, Alabama Air National Guard, Alabama State University, Andrew College, Auburn University, Auburn University at Montgomery, Enterprise State Community College, Huntingdon College, Jacksonville State University, Lurleen B. Wallace Community College, Marion Military Institute, Miles College, Mississippi State University, Oakwood University, Reid State Technical College, Samford University, Stillman College, University of Alabama, University of Alabama at Birmingham, University of Alabama in Huntsville, University of West Alabama, Troy University, University of Alabama Early College, University of North Alabama, University of South Alabama, and Wallace Community College-Dothan.
