Students in the extended day program at Straughn Elementary and Straughn Middle School Extended Day Program have partnered with the Andalusia Animal Shelter to bring needed items to the shelter.
“Partnering for Paws is a service learning project that will benefit our local community animals by providing much-needed donated supplies and materials,” said EDP coordinator Joyce Mitchell.
“It is amazing to have involvement from a school locally,” said Christin Ball, director of the AAS. “The teachers and students helping the animals in need is wonderful and we are blessed to have been chosen to receive the goodies donated. Maybe it will help bring exposure to the many great things that we are striving for as well as more animal awareness.”
