A local church has partnered with a Florida church to help bring supplies to areas affected by Hurricane Matthew.

Travis Day of Andalusia Full Gospel Tabernacle said Friday that he is working to get an official donation list of things that are needed in Florida, but is currently accepting some items.

“We are coordinating with a local church in downtown Jacksonville,” he said. “We are going to provide non-perishable food and water.”

Day said they also want to help provide anything such as tools that could be used for cleanup and debris removal.

“As soon as the storm has began to pass, then we’ll know what is most needed,” he said. “But right now we are going to concentrate on regular relief items.”

Day said he plans to take supplies to Jacksonville, Fla., on Monday.

“We’ll have a large trailer,” he said. “The supplies can be dropped off at AFGT.”

Day said that monetary donations will be accepted as well and they will purchase supplies with the money.

“They can call over the phone and donate,” he said.
