Organizers for the Kellen’s 5K Color Run say they only have less than 15 total runners signed up.

“Here’s the challenge, we need some runners,” said Christy Sasser. “We still only have less than 15 total.”

Sasser said they are believing God for the race day to be a great day to celebrate Kellen Findley and raise some money to help his family.

Kellen was diagnosed last fall with embroynal Rhabdomysoarcoma, which is a rare form of cancer of connective tissue.

The event is sponsored by New Home Congregational Church.

The run is set for Nov. 5, and it will begin at First Baptist Church.

Registration begins at 7 a.m., and the race begins at 8 a.m.

Early registration is under way until Oct. 21.

Cost is $20 and that includes a T-shirt. Late registration $25 and does not include a T-shirt.

There will be a Tater’s Tot Trot and the cost is $10 and includes a T-shirt. The deadline to register for it is Oct. 21.
