Andalusia man, 60, arrested for meth

An Andalusia man was charged with drug trafficking after a traffic stop yielded 86 grams of methamphetamine.
On Thurs., Oct. 6, Andalusia Police Officer Sean O’Rourke stopped a motorcycle riven by Ben Mason, 60, of Andalusia for running a stop sign on Sanford Road.
O’Rourke said that Mason was acting very nervous, so he asked for and received consent to search the motorcycle.
During the search he located two containers containing methamphetamine. A further search revealed a plastic bag containing approximately 86 grams of methamphetamine.
Drug Task Force Agent Josh Hudson was contacted and responded to the scene. Hudson arrested Mason, and charged him with drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.
