The Andalusia Office Professionals Association recently named Linda Linton the 2016 Boss of the Year.

Linton is the facilitator of engineering records at PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, where she has worked for 26 years.

She is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of her job, and is excellent at teaching these to others. She balances warmth and down-to-earth humanity with the principles of being fair, clear and focused on efficiency. She treats everyone as an equal, pulls no rank, plays no favorites and respects her colleagues by communicating with a balance of directness and dignity that generates trust and true respect for her.

Linton is known as a supporter of civic organizations and a community worker.

She goes out of her way to help people in need. She loves people, works hard and always tries to lift the spirits of those around her.

AOPA member Helen Bradley, who nominated Linton, said, “I believe these characteristics represent all that is good in life and our company; I am pleased to nominate her for the honor of Boss of the Year.”
