Those who need a little help purchasing Christmas presents for their children can sign up for Andalusia’s Community Christmas the first Saturday in November.

Community Christmas serves children from 2 years through 10 years old in Andalusia, Pleasant Home, Red Level and Straughn school districts.

Registration is set for Nov. 5 at:

• Pleasant Home School, from 9 a.m. until noon;

• Red Level School, from 9 a.m. until noon;

• Straughn School, from 9 a.m. until noon;

• Andalusia Elementary, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Parents and guardians looking to register their children must provide the following documentation:

• A picture ID (for the parent registering their children such as driver’s license, school ID, work photo ID);

• Birth certificate for each child. Only parents and legal guardians are allowed to register their children. No grandparents, aunts or other individuals unless they are legal guardians with documentation of guardianship;

• A social security card for each child or legal document with their Social Security number;

• Proof of residence. Current bill or rent receipt that shows your physical address. No post office addresses are accepted.

You must present all documents at the time of registration.

The organization relies on civic clubs and individuals to help provide gifts for children through either adopting angels or monetary donations.
