Saturday’s Renaissance Masquerade Ball has moved to Springdale, organizers said.

The event will begin at 7:30 p.m., and end at 11 p.m.

Stephanie Moceri of the city of Andalusia said that the Relay for Life fundraiser was picking up sales.

“We are so excited about the upcoming Renaissance Masquerade Ball,” she said. “Moving it to Springdale seemed a very sensible option for this particular event.”

Moceri said the stage for the ACT I skit and the magician performance will be set up on the front lawn, while hors d’oeuvres will be served inside.

“I would like to note that this is not strictly a formal wear event,” she said. “Since we are having this so close to Halloween, we don’t want to put that restriction in place. Renaissance garb is suggested, but any tasteful costume will be fantastic. The more creative the better. Just remember to wear a mask with whatever outfit you choose.”

Tickets are $25 for one or $40 for two. The double ticket package must be purchased in advance.

“I know we are going to have a wonderful time, and I hope that many more of you decide to join us in the festivities,” she said. “It is such a fun option for a date night or even just a night out with friends. Remember, all of the proceeds go to Relay for Life. So, not matter who you choose to go with, your money is going straight to an amazing cause.”
