Roger Powell’s best in show for “Butter & Eggs” a watercolor piece

The Opp Cultural Arts Center is recognizing artists in its 12th annual OCAC Juried Art Show today during Opp Fest.

Roger Powell earned Best in Show with his watercolor “Butter & Eggs.”

In mixed media, Joan Lamb earned first place with “Six Drones Is Enough” and Blakely Taylor won second with “The Pig.”

Anne Hugghins won the oil category with her “Dunes at Sunset II,” and Liz Reid won second place with “Orchids & Pears.”

In the photography category, David Campbell took home first and second with his “Sunset” and “The Old Wringer” and MaryAnn King earned third place “For Elouise.”

James Barnes won the sculpture category with his “Male Kestrel.”

Joan Lamb won first place in the acrylic category with PB&J and Anita Ellis won second with “Red Geranium.”

Roger Powell won first place in the work on paper category with “President’s Mansion – U of A.”

Also participating were Charles Coon, Chloe Teel, Deronda Dozier, Jan Breedlove, Mary Yates, Michael Barnes, Michelle Bende, PJ Lewis, Sally Patton Hall and Sara Beasley.
