‘Wicked clown posse’ nabbed for burglary, vandalism

Two 18-year-olds who identify themselves as the “wicked clown possee” have been arrested for a rash of recently burglaries and vandalism.
Andalusia Police Department Investigator Cody Warren said that Zachory Todd Kirkland, 18, and Mason Anthony Thomas, 18, both of Andalusia, were picked up by officers on Sunday.
Kirkland was charged with two counts of burglary third, one count of criminal mischief first, one count of criminal mischief third and one count of theft of property fourth.
Thomas was charged with three counts of burglary third, one count of criminal mischief first, one count of criminal mischief third and two counts of theft of property fourth.
Kirkland is being held in the Covington County Jail on a $36,000 bond.
Thomas is being held on a total bond of $49,000.
Warren said Kirkland and Thomas identify themselves as the Wicked Clown Posse and allegedly burglarized several places and vandalized multiple locations across the city.
Warren said there is an ongoing investigation into several other incidents of criminal mischief, and that more charges are forthcoming.
Officer Kevin Norris, Officer Gene Jackson and Sgt. Nic Ireland located the pair at a residence.
Warren and Investigator Chris Byrd were assigned the cases.
