Earline E. Maddox

Mrs. Earline E. Maddox, 71, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Nov. 27, 2016, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wed., Nov. 30, 2016, from Judson Baptist Church with Donnie Uption and James Pickeron officiating. Interment will follow in Judson Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Maddox of Andalusia; son and daughter-in-law, Van and Brenda Maddox of Jack; sisters, Marjorie Brooke, Charlotte Ward, and Judy Biggs, all of Andalusia; brother, David Edgar of Mobile; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tues., Nov. 29, 2016, from Foreman Funeral Home and the body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will include Josh Helms, Danny Sightler, David Sightler, Harold Elmore, Ricky Maddox, and Brian Davis. Family and friends unable to attend may sign an online registry at www.foremanfuneralhome.com.

 

Emmett “Bobo” Morris

Mr. Emmett “Bobo” Morris, age 73 of Carolina, passed away unexpectedly while visiting with his son at Morris Auto Salvage.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thurs., Dec. 1, 2016, at the Keahey Chapel. The Rev. Fred Kelley and Rev. Joey Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Smith Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home and Cremation Services entrusted with services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel.

Left to cherish his wonderful memory is his one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Melissa Morris of Carolina Community; one granddaughter, Beth (Dallas) Cotton of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla; three great-grandchildren, Alexa Hurst, Skylar Cotton, and Hadley Cotton, all of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; siblings, Melba Fuller of Troy, Kathleen (Reubin) Diamond of Andalusia, Carolyn (Jerrell) Cook of Holt, Fla., David (Carolyn) Morris of Andalusia, and half brother, Rhett Cason of Andalusia; uncles, Bud Morris of Saraland, and John Morris of Navarre; aunt, Christina Strength of Pineview, Ala.; sister-in-law, Harriett Phelps of Andalusia; and his girlfriend, Reniel Bovino of Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Morris, in 2007; parents, Opal Morris and Sybil Cason; sister, Joyce Bass; and brother, Darrell Morris.

Mr. Morris retired immediately after his wife’s passing. Then his son, Chris, took over the family business, Morris Auto Salvage. Prior to opening the salvage business, Mr. Morris had worked at Alatex for many years until the company’s closing.

After retiring, he pursued his passion of collecting and restoring antique vehicles. His most favorite was his classic 1955 Ford. His philosophy in life was to enjoy life, you’re never getting any younger and save for a rainy day! He enjoyed spending time at the lake with his air boats that he built. He recently became interested in Pleasant Home football to watch his girlfriend’s son play ball. He loved all his family and they too loved him very much. He was “Grandpaw Morris” to his sweet granddaughter and great-granddaughters. His oldest great-granddaughter, who is 7, was already learning about restoring antiques vehicles with her grandpaw and they loved sharing that passion.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Morris, Dave Morris, Johnny Jackson, Jason Morris, Randy Bass and Benny Bass.
