Mary Morgan Werk and Eric Wesley Roberts announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Denise (Dede) Roberts Werk and Kenneth Thomas Werk Jr. of Birmingham.

She is the granddaughter of Joanne Hart Roberts, Kenneth Lester Roberts, Merlene Walton Werk and the late Kenneth Thomas Werk Sr.

She is a graduate of Auburn University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social work, and is employed by Valleydale Baptist Church.

The groom-elect is the son of Lori Smith Roberts and Donald Lester Roberts of Vestavia Hills. He is the grandson of Sybil Ezell Smith of Andalusia and the late Charles Franklin Smith, and the late Dixie Finley Roberts and the late Lester Green Roberts Jr.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Auburn University, and is employed by Valleydale Baptist Church.

The wedding will be an event of Dec. 17, 2016.
