Andalusia City School officials instituted a “soft lockdown” at Andalusia High School after a domestic issue caused a scare Thursday morning.
Superintendent Ted Watson said the lockdown lasted approximately a half-hour.
A boyfriend/girlfriend disagreement resulted in an automobile accident on McRainey Loop earlier Thursday, he said. Allegations were made about what might happen.
Watson said classes continued, but the soft lockdown was put in place until the student was located.
“We did this just as a precaution until we could determine that everyone was safe and there were no more threats,” he said.
