Brunice Patterson Carnley

Mrs. Brunice Patterson Carnley, 85, of Opp passed away Tues., Dec. 20, 2016, in a Dothan hospital.

Mrs. Carnley is survived by her husband, Virgil Carnley; daughter, Cindy Patterson Colquett; sons and daughters-in-law, George Chuck Patterson and Carrie, Judson B. Patterson and Rene; stepchildren, Kent Carnley and Carol, and David Carnley and Kathy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Sexton and Steve and Patsy Davis and Bob; grandchildren, Jon Wesley Colquett and Leighann, Kyle Colquett and Toyia, Ingrid Patterson Pickron and Adam, George Patterson and Cortney, Neal Patterson and Anna, Charlotte Patterson, David Carnley and Meghan, Matthew Carnley, Joshua Carnley, Jason Carnley and Ashlea, Christine Carnley Porter and Jim, Emily Carnley Conner and Garied, Anna Carnley and Elizabeth Carnley Fast and Russell; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, George L. Patterson; and parents, Hollis Bonner and Eva Knight Bonner.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 22, 2016, in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Randy Breedlove will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jon Wesley Colquett, Neal Patterson, George Patterson, Brooks Sexton, Rob Ammons and Joshua Carnley.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Opp, First United Methodist Church in Opp, Ino Baptist Church in Kinston or Cloverdale Methodist Church in Dothan.

 

Frances Bullock Brown

Mrs. Frances Bullock Brown, age 77, of Evergreen, passed away Wed., Dec. 21, 2016, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Fri., Dec. 23, from Long Branch Baptist Church with Larry Smith and Billy Croley officiating, interment will follow in Long Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the church.

She is survived by her daughters Sharon Brooks and Kay Mercer both of Red Level; sons and daughter-in-law, Keith Connally of Red Level and Danny and Annette Brown of Jasper, Ala.; grandchildren, Toby (Amanda) Brooks, Andy Berry, Amanda (David) Aughtman, Jaron (Cassandra) Brown, and Tony Harrison; 14 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Diane Bullock of Georgiana; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Haskell and Bertha Mae Bullock; husband, James R. Brown; grandson, Bobby Brooks; brother, Dudley Bullock; and sister, Barbara Logan.

Pallbearers include: Toby Brooks, Cody Brooks, Andy Berry, Aaron Bullock, Tony Harrison, Jaron Brown, and James Stroud.

Matthew Hendrix

Mr. Matthew Hendrix, 79, of Red Level, passed away Mon., Dec. 19, 2016, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 22, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Antioch Cemetery in Conecuh County. Visitation was Wednesday at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, William and Anita Hendrix and Willie Jay and Rebekah Hendrix of Red Level; one daughter, Debra Mitchell of Greenville; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Liz and Elmer Davis of Plant City, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Hendrix.

Jason Clark

Mr. Jason Clark age 39 of Dozier passed away Wed., Dec. 21, 2016, at the Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Fri., Dec. 23, 2016, at Keahey Funeral Home chapel. Mr. Donald Clark will be officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery with Keahey Funeral home directing.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 22, 2016, at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Donald (Gail) Clark of Dozier; mother and step-father, Patricia (Leon) Ballard of McKenzie; son, Daniel Clark of Dozier; daughter, Ashton Greene of Opp; brother, Adam (Deedra) Clark of River Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Edd Bass

Mr. Edd Bass, age 83, of Andalusia passed away Tues., Dec. 20, 2016, at the North Okaloosa hospital.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Fri., Dec. 23, 2016, at Shady Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Shady Hill Baptist Church cemetery with Keahey Funeral home directing.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 22, 2016.

Keahey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Learvene Bass of Andalusia; son, Anthony (Lynn) Bass of Andalusia; daughter, Wendy (Jay) Jordan of Andalusia; brothers, Ralph Bass of Andalusia, Coy (Faye) Bass of Opelika, Herman (Ann) Bass of Andalusia, and Frank (Barbara) Bass of Pascagoula, Miss.; sisters, Eunice Henderson of Brewton, Wavie Lee Mims of Andalusia, and Hazel Bass Trawick of Milton, Fla.; grandchildren, Gabriel Bass, Nathan Bass and Annette Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Josiah Bass and Declan Bass.

Mr. Bass is preceded in death by his brother, Mr. Bruce Bass.

 

Lance Price

Funeral services for Lt. Lance Price are set for 1 p.m. on Tues., Dec. 27, 2016, at First Baptist Church Frisco, 2701 Corona Ave., in Jasper, Ala.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday.

Kilgore-Green Funeral Home, 1200 Birmingham Ave. Jasper, is in charge of arrangements.
