6 locals earn degrees from UA

The University of Alabama awarded some 2,270 degrees during winter commencement Sat., Dec. 10, 2016.
With this graduating class, UA will have awarded more than 257,000 degrees since its founding in 1831 as the state’s first public university.
Candidates for degrees from UA include:
- Megan Pugh of Andalusia, master’s degree
- John Thompson of Andalusia, bachelor’s degree
- Kimberly Norris of Andalusia, bachelor’s degree
- Christopher Huggins of Opp, bachelor’s degree
- Andrea Shepard of Opp, bachelor’s degree
- Jacob Holtum of Samson, bachelor’s degree
